Well... the polish is nice, but that's all. There is no music, so the player is left alone with silence... and math... It's challenging because of the time limit, but there just isn't any fun in it.

It can work. Jumping needs to be ironed out though (depending on if you're running the jump changes hight) also I can't reach the ladder after beating the skull enemy. Also, this game needs some uniqueness. It's fairly bland at the moment (mainly because this has been a genre that has been prevalent for almost as long as games themselves). Consider re-skinning the art to make it look more interesting.

You can access the ladder by jumping from the platform at right, you need to run fast tho! Hold the sword with z = will make you allso run faster and jump higher. :) The intro level is very early, i have been making the first dungeon as the first priority so far.

Still not done IMO, obviously no sound. I got to 2175 and died on nothing

Has potential, but it's way to clunky to be fun at this stage. Don't make the character have a hurt animation when they get hit, and moving and shooting are nearly impossible to do simultaneously

could try in a browser other than chrome? like firefox or safari?

It's just not done... The start button has less function than a cross-walk button, and the controls are just nonsense. I don't mean to be too critical but these are easy fixes that should've been done way before the game was released.

It looks very good, and the shooting feels very good (and the banjo-kazooie style text speech was cool too). A couple suggestions, bring the text box to the bottom so you aren't shooting through it. I'm not sure whether that was the intent or not, but it is visually a little annoying. Also there is no real challenge. I stopped shooting, and i never died and my score never went down, which makes this more of a counting app than a game. A simple challenge though will make this a very good game.

I'm glad to hear the shooting feels good! "Game feel" was something I was trying to experiment with when I made this. Hopefully the explosions feel good too.

I think you're probably right about the text box. Probably should have raised the ground up a tile and put the dialog down there.

In regards to there being no challenge, that was sort of part of the theme/message/whatever. I should probably stop choosing themes that are conducive of bad game design decisions. lol

It's actually pretty fun. Small things like maybe avoid making skulls the collectables, and possibly making combat a little smoother. Other than that I liked it.
